No, the ball is not going to go into the hoop because there is too much height on the throw. It will hit the backboard and bounce off before it goes into the hoop.
According to the diagram, in graph A, the time it took and the height of the pole are consistent with each other. As the boy moved up the pole, the time went by in an equivalent circumstance. In graph B the boy started moving the flag faster up the pole but as he got closer to the top, he started moving the flag slower up the pole which in turn made the time longer. In graph C the boy would speed up and slow down while moving the flag up the pole. He continued to move the flag up the pole but continued changing his speed. In graph D the boy began moving the flag up the pole very slow, but as the flag got closer to the top of the pole he began moving faster which in turn made his time shorter. In graph E he began moving the flag up the pole very slow, then sped up, then slowed down again. In graph F he moved the flag up the pole in no time at all. The graph that is the most realistic is graph A because he would most likely move the flag up the pole in the same output of time. The graph that is the least realistic is graph F which would be impossible because some time would have to pass as the boy moved the flag up the pole.
The art that I created turned out the way it did because of the type of functions that were used, how they were set up, and the order they were in. A variety of functions were used such as cubic functions, identity functions, sin functions, and countless more. By creating the smiley face, I had to do a number of different things to the functions. That means sometimes making the function to be inverse, or changing the number in the function to change the size and scale. During this exercise I translated, transformed, and flipped each one of my new functions or existing ones. The most difficult part of this exercise was trying to create the smiley face and remembering all the functions I had learned from previous classes. Although this exercise wasn't the easiest, it helped me remember and how to use all the different functions that I will need for this class.
